Moving GSSO Forward!
This website was created in 1999 with
a goal to put GSSO on the internet map.
Over the years, this site has been enriched by our
alumni, friends, guests, etc; all sharing their memories and experiences of Government
Secondary School Owerri in our guest books, message boards, shoutout books et
al;
These memories are currently still being shared to date.
However, in order to continue to enrich the content
of Government Secondary School Owerri Alumni Website, we will need the help
and assistance from mostly our alumni here in Nigeria and abroad.
Currently, we are looking for alumni members who can
help us get some of the following information:
- * Getting
information on awards and accolades GSSO has won in the previous years (rankings
in SSCE results, press club awards, sports,
etc)
- * Names
of our past and current principals and vice. Also a current list of faculty
and staff and courses they teach.
- * A published
history of the school.
- * A picture
of the school badge and more.
- * Alumni
and friends are welcomed to share more of their pictures.
