Tribute to the LOVING husbands
« on: March 01, 2006, 06:32:30 AM »
Dear Loving Husbands,

I just want to say more grease to your elbows and I hope I can join your company someday soon.  You guys are truly living it the way it is meant to be...sacrificing yourself for the good of the family, especially your wives; truly loving and honoring your wives  .

Anyway, as a tribute to you folks (both GSSO and non-GSSO loving husbands  ), I have decided to post a brief quotation from the book If Only He Knew by Gary Smalley that shows how a husband offends his wife (loving husbands recognize them and stay away, but genuinely apologize when they fail):
Quote

(2) Not valuing her opinions.
(3) Showing more attention to other people than her.
(4) Not listening to her or not understanding what she feels is important.
(5) Closing her out by not talking or listening to her (the silent treatment).
(7) Not scheduling special time to be with her.
(12) Making jokes about areas of her life.
(13) Making sarcastic statements about her.
(14) Insulting her in front of others.
(18] Nagging her in harshness.
(20) Raising your voice at her.
(22) Swearing or using foul language in her presence.
(23) Correcting her in public.
(24) Being tactless when pointing out her weaknesses or blind spots.
(27) Pressuring her when she is already feeling low or offended.
(28] Lecturing her when she needs to be comforted, encouraged, or treated gently.
(29) Breaking promises without any explanation or without being asked to be released from the promise.
(30) Telling her how wonderful other women are and comparing her to other women.

IN FACT, I WILL USE THIS AS A BRAIN TEASER: With each day that passes starting March 1st (if I remember), I will delete a line from the quotation above until it is down to the last 10.  I want to know who can figure out how I determine which one to delete next...I\'ll resign as the Daddy to whoever gets it right IF it\'s at all possible

Seems you are deleting posts that have to do with conversation. Lets say all those that do not enhance open communication are going down?

Well, well, well, I just deleted four more lines and I\'m eager to see who can decipher in what order I delete the lines. :D

HINT: If I am to delete another two lines, they will be Line 25, and then Line 11 in that order.  Good enough?

Looks like you counting down ten lines from the last removed. My guess is # 23 will be next after 11?

Sorry folks, it took me long to get back to you. Apparently, I am so loved by my friends at school that this weekend was a blast in celebration of my future graduation by God\'s grace.  I really cannot put this to words, but they were beyond amazing.  Dude, I even feel like crying men; I\'m going to miss these guys!  :)  God bless them and you too. 8)

Anyway, let me not lose track of what is going on here.  Sorry Sir Obj and UzoLance, the answers you gave are still not right.  More hint: I will delete line 30, then line 14.  Come on, someone tell me they\'ve seen the trick

Chei, I completely forgot about this thread.  I will delete a lot more lines pretty soon and then see who gets it right.
