I know it\'s kinda late, for those interested, make your picks for the NBA 2005 playoffs.
Who\'s your championship team from the east, west and finals

Suns = Western Conference Champs
Heats= Eastern Conference Champs
 2005 NBA Champs? I haven\'t made up my mind about that yet

With Wade and Shaq in the team.... Miami Heat will take the championship.

East = Nna anyi Shaq and Flash ( Maimi Heat )
West = Tim Duncan and Tony parker ( San Antonio Spurs)

...and the Champs goes to Maimi Heat because they have a stronger bench than the Spurs. The Suns is done with Joe Johnson\' injury, its unfortunate that he was injured by Stackhouse( mavs ) but hey.. that what the game entails....

My predictions are exactly the same as Susia\'s above. I hope Shaq recovers from his thigh bruise or at least gets to 80% of his normal form.  If that\'s the case, then I tip it off to Miami Heat to win it all.  It\'s unbelievable, all the other teams still playing have at least two more games to reach their respective conference finals, whereas Miami Heat is busy practicing and relaxing, waiting for their next victim.  I wish them the best plus I\'m beginning to like that Dwayne Wade (aka Flash) a lot and pray he keeps his head in it.  Apparently he is very humble and has a great team spirit, so let him continue that to be a good role model to the kids too 8)

I\'m beginning to have a different thought, Pacers might prove difficult to e defeated by the Heat, if the play.They got great players, not just few. Heat has great players too such as Shaq and Wade but Pacers has more. People like Prince, Rashid Wallace, Ben Wallace, McDyess and others are playing collaboratively and actively. So i think Pacers are also tough in regards to their defense..... I\'m predicting that Heat will win but with a slide.

Fresco, i think you are mistaken the Pistons for the Pacers. Prince, Rasheed, Ben etc arent Pacers but rather Pistons..

This may cause some stir, but hey, I have a feeling Detroit will deny the Heats the championship title this year. Heck, they might even win it again! I know it\'s too early, game 5 with the Pacers is coming up tonight. If they make it past the Pacers, I think they\'re going all the way!

Meanwhile, my pick from the east is Miami, who will beat the Detroit to get there.

From the west (tough conference), i\'m leaning toward the spurs or suns... however, I think the spurs will have the upper hand because of their playoff experience and mental toughness.

The suns just know how to shoot but no defense.

@Chizi, I don\'t think there\'s any surprise if Pistons win it again.  For one, they are the defending champion and the bulk of the people in that team last season are still with them this season. Psychologically, they are probably the best prepared.

This is the way I look at it in terms of possibility of winning:
Miami Heat -> 25%
Detroit Pistons ->15%
Indiana Pacers ->5% LOL :lol:
San Antonio Spurs ->20%
Phoenix Suns -> 15%
Dallas Mavericks -> 15%
Seattle Supersonics -> 5%  :twisted:

Barring any major injuries, this is the way it will go: Heat wins the Eastern Conference, Spurs wins the Western Conference. The winner of everything can be decided by just flipping a coin between Heat and Spurs 8)

Those of us in Seattle or Indiana, get ready for the fishing season :D  It\'s over.

@ Okey, are you kidding me? You\'re only gonna bet 15 cents?! :lol:  lol! @ Uzoma, please, which formula did you use to come up with your percentages? :?:  \'just kidding. Well, I have a strong feeling Detroit will cause a stir again. I\'m looking forward to the crowning at the Palace at Auburn Hills, that sounds nice. Infact, I\'m putting it in bold print,; The Pistons will be the 2005 NBA Champions!! I think the Wallaces are good enough to check Shaq. When the going gets tough, Big Ben only needs to wear his fro!! Watch out!

Chizi, don\'t mind Okey. I\'ve warned him about betting with small amounts; it doesn\'t get your adrenaline pumping. By the way, I am willing to bet too; I am betting 1 Naira that either Heats, Pistons or Spurs will win the championship :twisted:  :twisted:

Regarding the percentages I displayed, the formula I use is the kind that comes to one\'s head after gulping down a bottle of whiskey  :twisted:  :D Nah, I\'m just guessing on possible outcomes and applying a little statistics knowledge 8)

Okey, No u didnt bet 15cents!!!!!...lol, u can do better than that nau.. I agree with you tho on ur picks, Miami and spurs.

mavs, seatle and suns play no kind on defense at all, thats why they arent making it.
detroits got some defense but i see fatigue setting in while heats run dem crazy.

I really want and know that the Heat will make it thru.. I wonder how Kobe feels right abt now with  shaq and the heats advancing to the eastern conference finals while he is fishing?
